Do you sell my conversations?
No. We do not sell the content of your conversations, and we do not use it for marketing or advertising. There are no ads in the app.
Who processes my messages?
Your companion's replies are written by leading AI models from established providers, each named in our Privacy Policy, and used only to run the service.
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS.
How do I sign in?
With Apple or Google. My Softly has no password of its own to leak.
Can I see and remove what my companion remembers?
Yes. Open your companion's profile and tap What [name] remembers. Tap any entry, then Forget this to remove it. Health notes are hidden on the list so nobody can read them over your shoulder. More on the memory page.
How do I clear a conversation?
On your companion's profile, tap Clear chat. The messages are removed from the conversation, and your companion still remembers what you've shared.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account, then type "delete" to confirm. Your account, companions and messages are removed from the app, and the account can't be signed in to again. If you subscribe, cancel in your iPhone's Settings first: deleting the account does not cancel the subscription.
Who can use My Softly?
Adults only: My Softly is for people aged 18 and over. If a conversation touches on crisis, our safety page explains how the app responds.
