The monthly figures are the yearly price divided by twelve, not a monthly plan: either one is a single payment for the year. It counts unhappy reviewers only, so it shows what went wrong for the people it went wrong for, not how most people feel: on the same day, Replika's listing showed more than 227,000 ratings averaging 4.4 stars. Each review counts once, under its main complaint, even when it names more than one thing. Who is Replika built for?
Replika is built for people who want a broad companion platform with a lot to do in it: its App Store listing describes conversation by text, voice calls and video, image generation, avatar customization, app integrations and internet access, and its paid plans add voice calls, selfies on request and creating pictures and art. It has been available since 2017.
